Your cent looks quite normal for a 1968 cent. A 1968 cent looks quite different when compared to a 1969 or newer cent due to the fact that the master die was remade for 1969. It is understandable to have someone ask if there is something different about the 1968 cents, because there is.
Let me explain what 9ball means, you will learn soon enough. It was made in Taiwan by a woman from China that learned how to make it in Peru that was originally manufactured in the United States, which is America, and made it's way to you! Your welcome.
no mint mark means it was made at the mint in Philadelphia nothing unusual or special just a common penny
@Johnly93, you have just experienced the glib antics of members. Hope you weren't offended, but without asking us to look at what YOU see and believe is odd, we are left to guess, which doesn't work. You second photo shows the slight ridge under the IN GOD WE TRUST and is probably a "ridge ring" which is caused by a worn die. NAV, no added value and fairly common. When posting, please try to ask specific questions you would like answered, and polls are seldom needed. Also post photos Full Image (after photo uploads, two buttons appear; Thumbnail and Full Image. Click Full Image to post a full shot of the coin). Good luck in future posts. I've already "Welcomed" you in your previous post, but welcome again.
I think when someone asks a question like "This must be a rare coin as it has no mintmark", should be referred to the Redbook as a source of basic information, for example, For most of the History of the US Mint, the Philadelphia mint did NOT use a mintmark! Yes, we should answer questions, but let's also help them help themselves. There is a lot of basic information supplied in the Redbook that should be read. This book is a great basic knowledge book and should be promoted as much as possible.
