Does anyone know of any other gold coin which cost around $600 for 1/10? The American Buffalo gold coin of 2008-W is the king of all kings as far as I know. I have not heard of any other 1/10 gold coin which is more sought after than the American Buffalo. I know there are other countries who make 1/10 gold coins is there another popular 1/10 that I don't know about? Wish I had a pic but I don't have one of these coins, yet. Does anyone have any comments or info on another 1/10 which is as popular as the AB?
Fretboard, Why would you pay $600 for a 1/10 oz. modern bullion coin? Am I missing something? Are these rare??
2008 was the first and only year for Fractional Buffalos. They are highly popular and collected, carrying a significant numimatic premium. There was only the one year of issue of fractionals and now they are cancelled. Follow elaine_1970s posts on these coins, she tracks the retail prices of them in auctions/dealer market
