My father left us his small coin collection when he passed and I'm getting around to figuring out what's what in it. To start things out, check out the attached images. I would guestimate that it's Greek, what do you guys/gals think? Any idea where I could get more information on it?

It's a coin of Alexander III the Great of Macedon (356-323 B.C.E) -a tetradrachm, to be precise. Obverse: Head of Hercules/seated Zeus with Eagle & Thunderbolt. Amphipolis mint? Great coin - really nice condition. I'd estimate its value to be around the $250 mark.

I can't make out clearly whats under the throne. If its a drachm, then $250 is WAAAY too high. More like $50

It looks like a tetradrachm* , not a drachm, based on the size of the coin relative to the holder. My mistake. Alpha followed by an iota under the throne ?

Whats to the left? I'd guess a drachm, given the lower relief on the coin.

Please give diameter in millimeters and weight in grams for a more accurate attribution.

It's 5/8" so I guess that equates to 15 or 16 mm, it's very tiny. I don't have anything to weigh it with but I'd guess that it weighs less than a dime. It's crazy to think that the ancient people held the exact same coin, very interesting. Thanks for all your help thus far gentlemen...

It's definitely a drachm (apologies for contradicting earlier posts yet again). Value depends on grade- better photos would be really useful.
