1951 D Wheat Cent Error?

    My son spotted this while searching a bag of what cents. Any thoughts on the 1? Is this a known variety?

    Looks like it got hit with the roll crimping machine and displaced the metal of the last digit. Damaged

    Looks more like a 7 than a 1. It took a hit that moved the copper. Not a variety but it is damaged.

    I'd have to agree that it took a hit on the last digit, but cool find and a keeper for sure.

    Nice find! Keep using your son to help look for errors/varieties. His eyesight is probably better anyhow!

    nice find, I'll agree with the others above that the number 1 took a hit and was shifted over.
