    Hi all!

I recently bought this antoninianus of Claudius II as part of a large lot on eBay.

However, I am struggling to identify the reverse. It definitely appears to be Mars or Virtus advancing right, although the legend seems to contain [T]LVLTO towards the end. The most similar one I can find is a MARS VLTOR coin on OCRE, but nothing else.

It think it looks like it reads MARTI VLTOR

Can anyone help? The coin doesn't look like to be barbarous.

    Thanks!

I agree with everything you say. Style looks good. Legends seem to read MARTI VLTOR. I can't find anything matching in MER RIC either. I would suggest submitting to Dr. Estiot for an opinion.

It may be an engraving error. I read MAR/S L/VLTOR.

Thanks! I've just submitted it as a new type on ric.mom. Hopefully it gets added :)
