This Septimius Severus provincial is stumping me. 25mm, 6.0g. Die diameter is however rather smaller at about 18-19mm. I can't place the standing reverse deity, though it is a female figure. Obv: --YHROCK Rev: APA--?? The only place I can think of with APA in the name is Apamea, but I couldn't find any matches.
I was thinking that, but I dont believe Verus has the obverse legend "YHPOCK" EDIT: yes, Verus does have that legend... EDIT2: I mixed up 7Sev's YPOC with Verus's YHPOC
Why do you think it is Septimius Severus and not, like @PeteB suggested, someone else like Lucius Verus? It certainly looks like him to me.
I had the two mixed up. Septimius has the YROC legend, Verus has the YHROC legend. I'm incompetent at Greek
I was looking all over for yout and didn't notice that the others had already posted. D'oh! My Greek is not great either(aka non-existent). I have a running word doc with Greek legends to compare against. Makes it a bit easier for me
