These were produced by Whitman Publishing Company in 2005. The gate beautifully toned but I can’t pick it up on my cell without glare. The upper left Buffalo has a 90% golden tone while the Ocean In View has a light blue and copper toning. The obverse ones have a deep orange and blue tone. Almost identical toning for the other side. In photos, they appear to be black beauties but they are not in hand. Only cost me $.50 cents so with that toning I thought why not?
These two sets have coins that toned gold. They are not plated as the gold toning is light and deep colored.
It's interesting how these hard plastic holders will tone coins in different ways and sometimes not tone the coin at all.
Thh he e top photo is the best. Soft blues, tan and orange colors. Unfortunately I can’t get it to show but the other two coins with the gold toning on the right stand out. Same case but only two coins toned-both on by the same side.
I bought them 2 weeks ago at my LCS for $.50 each. I couldn’t resist the price and the colors on the coin.
