Each coin (Tuskegee and Washington) is selling for about $25 on eBay. Other 99% silver ATB coins have been selling for $8-$10. Is this just new-coin hype?. Is it reasonable to expect that the prices will lower over time? I do note that the Mint charges the same price for the 2021 Silver Proof Set as it did for the 2020 edition with the 2020 having 5 quarters and 2021 having of 2. So that may be behind the price disparity since these sets are being purchased from the Mint. But as in the past, the Mint products will adjust to the market and the 2021 coins should come down to the 2020 and previous prices. Even if it take a year or more. Am I right?
Only time will tell but I agree with you, I expect the prices to go down. However, I will not try to predict demand or the price of silver; those two variables, I think, will be determinant.
The silver proof set is a little higher priced than people are willing to pay. I "think" the increase in price is supply and demand for just the singles that people actually want in this case without buying the entire set. They sell the silver proof set for $105. And it's why I'm not buying it, but I could see someone saying "I really want that quarter though" and paying $20-$25 for it alone.
It seems on eBay, raw quarters are ~20 and and slabbed ~30 (PF-69). I'm trying to get a PF69 set for $50. I got outbit with 2 seconds left
