I have a 2013 $20 that has a serial number 31131319...any idea how much is it worth. It's in circulated condition one crease in middle no tears
Pictures would be a big help. As it is, with or without photos, you don't have a ' Fancy Serial Number ' anyway. If the last number, the 9, were a 1 or a 3, you'd have a simple binary serial number, but still not really worth any premium. There are sellers on certain sites that are hyping what they call " trinary " serial numbers. There are those that will say anything for a buck. You ask "...how much is it worth?" and I say, $20.00. The crease would knock any increase in value down (if there was one), but luckily for you, it will always be worth $20.00.| Good Luck ! EDIT Here's some help : CoolSerialNumbers.com - Fancy Serial Numbers cool-serial-numbers-worth-more
Good answers from everyone before me. I concur (not that that is worth a premium ). The problem is, the way things are in this world, $20 today isn't even worth the same $20 tomorrow.
Welcome to CT Earl. Currency is fun to collect but condition of the note is one of the most important things. And, as for special serial numbers, keep what you like and enjoy it, but most have NAV, no added value beyond face value. The links @Hookman gave you are good for education. Good luck.
