This just came my way as part of a large random a lot of world coins. I was wondering if anybody had any expertise who could comment on whether it is real or not. I haven’t been able to find a similar coin with the date to the left and right of the lion. That makes me think this may be a counterfeit. It’s also my understanding that there were some contemporary counterfeits as well. Thanks for any help.
It looks fine to me. I also couldn't find a matching example with the date in between the lion but I was able to match your coin by inputting "Zwol" (Zwolle- the city it was minted in) from the legend: https://www.biddr.com/auctions/numismatiknaumann/browse?a=116&l=101736 https://www.catawiki.com/en/l/92237...-according-to-municipal-value-standard-silver You can say it is its own variety from other mints in The Netherlands that year.
