Why is there a shortage of FOG?

For those new to this forum, the term FOG will be explained by @paddyman98 below. LOL

So, I asked myself, is it because of Global Warming, Covid-19, people not using money any more? You tell me.

I think it's because @paddyman98 is finding it all with his metal detector before the rest of us have a chance to find it.

 

I'm running out of loose change in my automobile cup trays. Whenever we stop for Ice Cream or other drive through stuff they want exact change if we have it. They get that crud that has been lying around for months or years.

 

FOG - Found On Ground

Well in NYC I find most of them!

I recently found a $20.00 Bill early in the morning heading to work.

Change has been found less in recent times. I also have noticed

 

As opposed to a Champion level FIG Hunter.

 

I would consider that as a raise, Paddyman.

People don’t carry as much money to lose. Now it’s mostly done with credit and debit cards.

 

If there is no FOG it’s because someone beat you to it.

 

A while back, I dropped a dime that was handed to me in my change at the grocery store check-out lane. That little sucker rolled back out into the main aisle for about 30 feet before I was able to recapture it...oops!...'scuse me!...'scuse me!...get outta the way!...'scuse me!...'scuse me!...gotcha!
