here is another example of a post 2015 error coin: https://www.ebay.com/itm/233929484634?chn=ps&mkevt=1&mkcid=28 this one is a 2017-p cent off center....prices are outrageous
and another, this one is a "struck through grease coin" https://www.ebay.com/itm/313426670616?chn=ps&mkevt=1&mkcid=28
I think some of the seller's ebay prices are pretty high (except his 11-cent coins, which are ok, IMO), likely due to high ebay fees. I would therefore think twice using his ebay prices as a general guide. A better price guide would be from error coin dealer websites, such as Jon Sullivan's.
The prices shown ar asking prices, not sold prices. This penny looks more ground down then struck through to me, but who am I to argue with PCGS.....
Not ground down because doing that would grind through the copper plating and expose the zinc. Due to the weakness of the rims though I would suspect an adjustment strike and not a grease strikethrough.
I don't know, just from looking at the coin, I see some doubling within the figure planting the tree. Yes, there is also some machine doubling. I would buy it, but not more than $25.00
