Hello all. I have been lurking for a while and decided to join up. I would like some opinions on these bills, grade, rarity approximate value? any info would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Vic

    Great looking notes!!!

55.36 million of the notes without the star. Guess on value around $35
2.88 million stars Value on the 3rd one I guess is about $150 and a little less for the middle one due to the off center obverse.

These prices are from the 2nd edition red book published in 2008.

    Thanks for sharing!

You people leave me in awe. Other than buying these notes, HOW DO YOU FIND EM'? Seems whenever I get change back it is no older than 2003.

Thanks for the info uss656! JHXJD, I got these at the bank about eight years ago. I noticed the date on them and thought these are pretty old, maybe I should hang on to them. I did not notice the stars at the time but I did notice the consecutive serial numbers. I gave then to my Mom and she put them away. We were cleaning up some of her stuff and she said oh, here are the ten dollar bills you gave me! Moms are great! That's the story behind them. Do any of you think it would be worth it to have them graded?

    Thanks again,
    Vic

Because of their apparent condition I would say yes. The fact that the stars are consecutive probably add value if they stay together. If they were mine I would most certainly keep them (and get them graded if I felt they were in AU condition or better). This is just my opinion.

Again, great looking notes! :) Really nice snag for face value!!! Benefit of working in a bank!

Thanks Darryl. I think I will be keeping them. I don't work at the bank they were given to me from the teller! I am a carpenter. I see were I can join PCMG for like $100.00 and get a coupon for five gradings. That seems like a good way to go?

    Thanks again,

    Vic

PS: they would fire me at the bank for taking to much time looking at the bills and coins!!!!

LOL - you and me both!!! Had a bartender ask what in the heck I was doing the other night when I looked at the notes she gave me in change before I would tip her. I would never make it in a bank!!! I would have to pay them to work there as I would want to take home more than my pay would bring in! The $100 sounds like a good deal for what you will get!

Please let us know how they grade.

    Good Luck ~ Darryl
