I wanted to comment as well… but on a second thought I don’t want to see all of us getting banned :-D
You absolutely should be rude to someone that feels the need to bump a 2 year old thread to be the grammer police. It's very likely to be someones burner or a troll.
I rarely care about typos and mis-spelled words but errors in the midst of screeds about errors crack me up. They're being lazy and they are being lazy would both work better than "their being lazy."
It's pretty obvious that homonyms are not dealt with in schools in the same detail I (barely) remember. They're - their You're - your - yore Its - it's Too - to - two And others - it's a rare day when one doesn't see these fumbled by folks whom I know are too intelligent not to know the difference.
This is true...kind of. If you join PCSG with a Gold Membership, you can get four coins certified for free! it costs $150 for a gold membership, but you get 4 vouchers to get 4 coins certified. it's almost a wash in price. Plus, you get their coin book that shows coin pricing which is cool.
What fun it is to waste time on such an old post, but because many have recently responded, I will too. #1 We have many members that English is a second (third, fourth, etc.) language, so spelling errors should be expected. #2 Having been a public school teacher for 31 years, I can attest to the "dumbing down of Americans" first hand. As a once member of the text book selection team, I quit when we were only given two books to chose from for history and both were filled with errors. #3 I feel it DOES reflect on members that consistently use poor English and spelling when posting. It comes in close to those that use abbreviations that are not well known, IMO. While I attempt to always proof read my posts, I too am only human make mistakes, so tend not to throw the first stone. I have also be guilty of NOT reading the original date of the post and add something. No one I know is perfect.

Or get a platinum membership for $249 and get 8 vouchers and a polo shirt. That's less than the cost for submitting 8 coins at the regular tier.
When I see someone correct grammer gratously, I just put them in ignore. I have no patience for that. I percieve it as petty. It also detracts from the forums quality. I never say anything about it, I just do it. In this case, since it was brought up, I felt it was approprate to just state that not everyone is tolerant of grammer Nazi's and grammer Nazi's have no moral standing, at least in my opinion. The topic HERE is obtaining free grading. The short answer is, no, it doesn't come for free, but there are big caveats. Dealers gratitously grade all the time, and advertise for inexperienced folk to bring their estate collections and get an assesment for free. Obviously, if you bring coins to a dealer with an eye to sell, that implies forming and agreement on a grade. In addition, dealers love to grade coins and then argue about it. It is huge part of the hobby. Arguing over grades is what we do And the more one grades, the more they learn to grade. You test your mettle against the market. Finally, auction houses like Stacks have offers to do the grading service for you, if you want to put the coin(s) on the auction block. See their website for more details.
While I can appreciate the sentiment, you don't REALLY want to investigate that statement and compare it to the historical facts... To be honest, we should just REMOVE the three theirs from the dictionary and make it ONE word... THAIR. It has been pigheadedness from a few select academians that have, up until now, kept this ridiculeous situation where three words that sound exactly the same are spelled differently. The same with "lying" and and "lied", and "whose", et all...just get rid of them all and just consolidate. And fix the spelling for knight and knife and through. All of these dupilcate uses and such add nothing to the richness of language, and feed ACD. One last this on this hijacked subject.... HOUSTON is pronounced HOW - STUN... not HUOO-STONE. Half the people that come to the Village get lost....and don't even get me started on ROUTE and when people ask me about the GREEN line... instead of the IRT.
i used to work with an old guy from down south (at an bus company) told him where my fle market was at the time Ogunquit, was an exit to turn to rt 58..i called it ogun-quit he said, very angrily it is ON-gon quit..then i told him to pronounce my name, and nobody can ever get it right (ir is polish) though ending in cz, everyone calls me ski, or adds that to the end, so there, names are off limits for pronouncer laws, as they can be anything and everything, i try to get it right, but???lol
