Hello! I've been going through my treasure bag of 1972 cents (see my earlier post). This is my most recent discovery. Based on the strong doubling of the 2, as well as the die markers, I think it's a DDO-013 (according to DoubleDie). Any insight?

    Hello and Welcome .
I tried to somehow figure this one out for several minutes . I am undecided where to categorize this coin. Here is the coins description for the 1972 DD0-13 . I'm not able to confirm your die markers with out arrows . This means showing us the Reverse as well.
    972 1¢ WDDO-013

Description: A strong CW spread shows remnants of an extra horizontal bar of the 2 in the date well above the normal horizontal bar. The variety shows the master die doubling known for this date on LIBERTY and IGWT.

Die Markers: Obverse: Several die scratches extend WNW from the rim below the right side of the bust with one of the stronger scratches being below the D and B of the designer’s initials. Several die scratches extend ESE from the rim above IN and WE. Reverse: A small die gouge can be found to the right of the top of the 2nd A in AMERICA. A small die gouge (dot) can be found to the right of the base of the last Memorial column. A small die gouge (dot) can be found north of the F in the designer’s initials. Two small die gouges can be found between the lower O and N of ONE.

Hi - thanks so much for taking a look! Here are some more pics of the die markers (maybe).

The markers look different to me. And the other potential markers you show here are probably better diagnostics for the variety. I don't think you have a match here. Let's see what others think (especially those that study 1972 varieties).
