I'm trying to get photos of my collection - for posterity more than anything. I have all the dollars, halves, dimes and nickels for the 20th century. Missing a few quarters and cents. I don't have all the early commemoratives. I did get 2 Stone Mountain and 2 BT Washington in change.

Sounds great. I just want to see you divide that up for your children and grandkids. Lol

The greatest reward is realizing your accomplishment and positive recognition of your fellow collectors, congratulations. I am certainly envious!

You can be "wordy" as much as you want with me. I love your coin collecting story. I, too received some old coins in change, but no where near what you accomplished. However, I lived in the country, so I had few opportunities. We had a school that served the area, but didn't even have a caution light. I started out without electricity or running water. We had to move to get access to them. Didn't have a phone until I was a teenager, and it was an 8 party line, so didn't really have much of an opportunity to use it, lol. I'm not complaining, I was blessed. I wouldn't do any of that any different. But, I said all of that to say this. I didn't have much opportunity to collect more than just Wheat back cents. So that's all I focused on for years. Quit collecting for many years and just started back a few years ago. But, I do collect more than just Lincoln Cents now. Sorry, got to long winded, lol. Oh, to give you an idea how remote we were, there were 6 in my graduating class. And, like so many others have stated, I love to see anything from your collection!

Very nice. I used to get Barber quarters occasionally, collecting on my paper route, but hardly ever a half.

Thanks for the feedback. I don't mind long winded at all. One thing we had a premium of when I was young was talking. No TV, just visit and talk. When I was in those old stores I enjoyed listening to the old men sitting around talking about WW I, the depression, WW II and etc. One thing they talked about that I swore I would never talk about was their ailments. I will never talk about medical stuff when I get old. Guess What?

Not only a great story on how the coins were collected, but how hard you worked at all those odd jobs. Nowadays, those jobs are gone of course, but even if they were still available, methinks most would go unfilled considering the general unwillingness to work that hard of the majority of pre-teens and teens. Not a criticism, just a general comment.

I anticipated you saying something like that. But, I haven't formulated a plan as yet. I will pass it by my friends if and when I do.

Love the set...probably lots of rattlers...I use a paper match to tighten them up.
