Thanks for the post. Having been Air Force, I was looking forward to the coin, but after seeing the design, I passed. I don't care for the design of either side.

 

I was tempted to purchase it myself. How large is it in mm's?

 

It is less than the 3/4 LB. M&M size bag, and is closer to the Halloween size M&M bag...the one that has between 6 and 8 pieces. I'm guessing 13 M&Ms can fit within the circumference.

I have always like aircraft. I built models up until 1 year ago. My fingers don't work like they used to. I still have about 20 built model aircraft in my wife's curio. I had about 300 model aircraft kits and ended up selling them to a store in Michigan. They had never been opened. I still have one that I promised to build to a member of my church. He served in the post WW II Luftwaffe in the F-84 Thunderstreak. I've got books and the decals for the Luftwaffe Thunderstreak. I had one almost completed when my cat got a hold of it. I wasn't mad. He's just a cat. When I was a kid, my father would not let me build WWII aircraft from Germany or Japan and they had some neat looking aircraft. The man that I promised to build the model of his aircraft, served for over 30 years for Lufthansa and became the head of their "union"? or whatever it's called. Anyway, I did buy the Air Force coin, but not the Coast Guard. I do want the Navy, Marine and Army, tho.
