Hey Sema I was wondering if your name in Russian is Cemeh or a version of Semyon and please excuse my russian for it is poor at best. I did meet someone once with the name Serafima. You have to also excuse my interest with the name but that happens when one like I is born with a simple name such as Andrew.
yes, Sëma is a short version for Semyon (note the umlaut on E), short version for Serafima would be Sima. No problem anyway
Well let me say again that I am glad that you joined us. There is a lot that we can learn from you and looking forward to be reading any of your posts on World coins or elsewhere.

nice website. Thanks for the warning about phoney russian/siberian coins being sold on e-bay and yahoo. If I read your location correctly you live in the Urkraine. I never saw kiev but I heard wonderful things about it.
Hey Sema..I have some Russian coins too..I received them on a trip to Russia...I think they are from 1820.. Nice website!
Feel free to ask any questions about Russian coins. I do have some if you checked out the link at my signature.
Actually some of my family from UA, I have visited there and could live there very easily. Odessa is like Paris on the Black Sea.
Krasnaya I just took a tour of Odessa myself from a website and you are right it is beautiful http://www.odessaglobe.com/russian/tour/old-map.htm[/url] Sorry but my Russian is poor at best and I thought you wrote in your location that you were from little Urkraine. I never claimed to be a translator and reading it is very difficult for me. I am told that I had family owning tobacco farms in the Urkraine in the distant past. Perhaps one day I will go to see where that part of me once lived.
Yes, should be krasniy but I admire these pilots of the war of 1941-1945: http://acesofww2.com/soviet/Women.htm
