I’m really happy as it’s the first I’ve found, I’m considering cleaning it up but wanted other peoples thoughts on here before I give it a go, any help would be appreciated.
Thank you for the reply, I haven’t tried to clean any of my finds before. What’s the best method? Just water? Thanks again
Can’t really hurt the value, or increase the value. Ok to practice cleaning on this one. Water soak overnight Acetone soak the next night Will be worth 40% of silver either way
Perfect, thank for the advice. Will give it a go tonight, also found a 1957 quarter yesterday in similar shape but I’m not sure if I should do anything with it just yet. Will see how I get on with this one. Thanks again
Nice find. No matter what it looks like it’s only worth it’s price in silver and that date is 40% silver.
Cleaned Kennedy by Darren Edwards posted Aug 19, 2021 at 7:29 PM Cleaned Kennedy R by Darren Edwards posted Aug 19, 2021 at 7:29 PM I think it came out nice for my first try
Thanks, I ended up using cloth that’s used during surgeries as the cotton bud was a bit too awkward for me to use I also dried it with the same type of cloth so that way my finger prints wouldn’t get all over it.
