I am reviewing my Washington Quarter collection. With exception of most recent Proof coins, they are all from circulation. I always kept the best I found and rotated them out as I found better examples. In most cases I never kept duplicates. They were used to trade or pocket change to look for others. This is the best and only example I have of the 1943 P. When I look at it close I see that it is not great. So, I think I am going to break my tradition and look for a better one. But, I still haven't made up my mind. Perhaps I am just bored.
Hello Inspector, It's really nice to have excellent examples of all WWII era U.S. silver coinage. Good luck with your quest. J.T.
For each series, I keep at least two sets: my circulation set (where I trade out worse for better) and my purchased set. I like to see where I stand regarding coins from the wild and coins from the LCS.
That's not a bad looking 1943 quarter when you consider the age!!! Understand you wanting to upgrade though. You plan to make a purchase, or looking in the wild only? Can't imagine improving on that from the wild! However you do it, good luck!!! Show the replacement when you get it!!! I'm nosey!!! LOL
That one is from the wild and probably found in the early 50's. And, I think I will stick with it. I get a wild hair every now and then and want to upgrade. Then I talk myself out of it. Will let you know if I change my mind.
