I just pulled out an old blank planchet that was in stuff my dad left after he passed, it weighs 5 grams on the money, its relative to the 2 cent pieces I have but weigh less...any ideas?
Keep trying. Must be the wrong format. Check the info on posting photos and see if your photo meets the requirements. Good luck and welcome to CT.
Here's the picture from the link it looks like it to me some details do remain.Better pictures of the obverse and reverse would help.By the weight and planchet size im thinking IHC/FEC might not even be a U.S coin.
I did it before but I cant remember how....makes me feel like an idiot, I have always hated how forums require photo posting...sorry for the confusion, I cant even figure out how to delete the post altogether...
the edge is smooth not reeded, Ive kept it put away for a long time....I even have foreign bills I cant identify either.....
Not if it is copper. Want is the diameter? I found three possibilities for foreign coins struck by the US Mint, French Indo-China 1 centime 26 mm, Peru 1 centavo 19 mm, and Thailand 1Satang 22.5 mm Scratch French Indo-China, it has a center hole. Thailand is out too, it also has a center hole. The peru is the same diameter as a Lincoln cent but significantly thicker Half cent planchet would be close but they are 5.44 gm and 23 mm
