My sister-in-law in Munich picked these up for me, and she arrived here this morning for a week. They are three 10DM commemoratives that I didn't have. The first two have what, I assume, some distinct die polishing on them as none of the marks go over the devices. A very welcome addition to my 10DM collection

German silver commems are so great!
You have two of my favorites there. Your sister has good taste :)
I've not seen the Kathe Kollwitz before.
I once had a collecting goal to get a complete set with all the different eagles. That ship as long since sailed.

Yes that is quite a task. I thought the same about the proof versions but that was soon realised to be a challenge to much.

I've been collecting German coins for years. I prefer those from before 1933 but, there are some really nice issues struck in Germany after WW2. The picture attached is of one of my German pattern coins from 1913. This one is in copper but, I also have the silver version. 1913 German 5 Mark COP Pattern OBV.jpg 1913 German 5 Mark COP Pattern REV.jpg

Beautiful Coins, expat & furry.....but can't imagine why some people make fun of OUR eagle designs!

Addendum: Not to sound too 'jingoistic' but maybe European Eagles simply lack the elegance of our bird.

Because it looks malnourished and angry. Let me rephrase that, what a beautiful bird. Nice coins, thank you.

Nice additions. Boy, those mint employees must use Brill-o-pads to clean the dies. LOL

This is an interesting pattern coin I picked up. This is the only one I've ever seen. !907 25 Pfennig. 1907 Germany 25 Pfennig Pattern SP 65.png

This is another interesting pattern I picked up many years ago. I have never seen another like it. 1909-A 25 Pfennig. 1909-A 25 Pfennig Pattern.png
