I'm guessing that my repeated and quick landings on "page not found" mean that they're out of stock. On the bright side, I got a popup soliciting feedback on the site, which I'll definitely see through to the end. Edit: holy carp, one finally went through! At something like 12:22 EDT. So don't give up just yet.
OK ... After a dozen os so “502 Bad Gateway” ... and “The page you want can’t be found” I finally did get through. I’m just kinda worried if I’m gonna get charged for all the times I tried or at least 3 when I only want 1. I’ll know when the conformation email comes.
I was going to give the Mint one more chance today with the Morgan and Peace Dollars. If I did not get anything, I was ready to say F them forever. You know what happened, I was able to get 3 of each. I only wanted 2 of each. Now I have to hang in for a couple of more rounds of frustration to say F it ;-}
You won’t. I always like to make sure my order went through by trying to place the order again. I get a “You have reached the household limit” error. If you’re buying less than 3 though that won’t work and you might get an extra.
It does appear they have made some successful changes. Plus the HHL of 3. We're at +26m and the site is still up and they are NOT sold out.
Kept failing over and over like the last POS. I just cancelled all of my auto enrollments. I'm done with the US Mint.
The Mint website seemed to work ALOT better this time. Even though I managed to get an order through for each release I noticed the CC and O privy Morgans were the most frustrating and the website was trash. The D & S privy the site was OK but super slow. With the P & Peace Dollar today the site seemed to work even better. Maybe they really are working on stopping bots.
You sure it’s the Mints fault? Everyone else seems to be doing OK. Have you considered it may be on your end? Bad internet? Something like that?
Well they did say they were working on stopping bots. Maybe they took it seriously and only real humans are placing orders now?
Been a long time since I've had an honest opportunity to choose 1 or 2 out of 10 for experience quality metrics. I hope it'll be a long time before it happens again.
I'm in a rural area with wireless broadband internet. As such, my upload and download speeds are less than 16 MB/sec. My internet provider uses several IP addresses and if I run IPChicken it switches back and forth between IP addresses. I'm assuming that this may be causing some issues. At one point I was flagged as a bot. I logged back in and kept getting kicked out during the verification stage to a page that said URL not found. On a normal day without new products such as this I can buy products and the checkout process works fine (at least it did in the past). My guess is that if I lived in an area where I had access to better internet access things may have turned out different. Good luck to those who got through but this chaotic system shouldn't be this way. I'm tired of playing this game with limited production products.
Nah, don't worry. It took me 4 attempts confirming order and refreshing. Once you get a confirmation page it clear the bag back to 0 and you're done.
Yeah I'm sorry, 16 mbps probably isn't going to cut it for these releases. Ive been running 250 to 360 mbps here and the pages were struggling to load. I felt fortunate to get through it.
Great deal for all who got one. I was successful also, I don't order from the mint anymore and didn't try.
It sucks, but looking at the big picture I can think of no better place that I'd want to live right now. I guess I have to remember that. Plus, these new products distract me from what I'm really collecting anyway.
