What do you guys think of this coin? Its listed as a 1972 Type II Hicks varient http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...rkparms=algo=CRX&its=S%2BI&itu=UCI%2BSI&otn=4
Setting aside the NT/AT discussion for a moment. James knows his Ikes. If he says they are part of the PKOK hoard, I'd take it to the bank.
Yeah, a minor variety still being hyped today. My understanding is that a proof reverse die made its way on to the business struck coins. See this link for more info: http://ikegroup.org/SHADOW11308.htm
Of all of the Eisenhower Varieties I have been able to collect For some reason this one eluded me longer than any of the others Making it my favorite to date. Stewart
Sorry Ruben, This the 1971-S Repunched Mintmark listed in the Cherrypickers guide as FS-S1-1971S-501. It also listed by CONECA as RPM-1 The reason that it says that it is a FS-50 in the picture is that in my copy of the Cherrypickers guide there is a typo they accidentally listed it as a FS_50 when it is actually an FS-501 Stewart
One of my favorite toned Ike's very hard to photograph so that it looks like it does in hand. finally got it though. had to adjust the brightness and contrast. Terry
Very nice coins to all of you! Very impressed with your off center's Collect89. I haven't owned an Ike, in maybe over a year, just never got into collecting them. Last time I saw one in person was in one of those donation things that McDonalds has, it was a 76' bicentennial.
