    All,

I found this roll hunting tonight. In the base of the bust is an S and either an I or T... Anyone have some ideas on what this is?

    Thanks,

Looks like a G to me. I’m not see anything that gets me excited.

It doesn't do anything for me, either...

That’s exactly what it looks like to me. Lincoln would have been a Packers fan.

I'm thinking possibly a reversed S, but like Yak said, better pics are needed.

The imprint next to the MM looks like PMD to me on this pic.

Pictures are much better, thanks @swerths. Yup, looks like a dropped reverse S to me. Good find!

Yep! Yep! I love "struck-through dropped filling" coins. :)

I'm wondering about the rim damage near the mint mark. Maybe it could be due to the coin being pressed against another coin. In which case the reverse S could also be damage from the same event. Does the reverse have damage opposite the reversed incused letter and rim damage?

@Oldhoopster the damage by the mint mark appears to another dropped letter... it looks like maybe the U was in two pieces... one part is next to the S in the Pictures above but it is very hard to see... there also appears to be nothing out of place on the reverse

Funny how we all see something different isn’t it?
