Happy Friday Ya’ll! So I think I have found a 1971 S Half Dollar DDO, so first and foremost- DID I??!!! LOL! I thought it was the DDO-003 variety, but as usual- completely unsure! Then I noticed the mintmark- it looks like there is another one, then I couldn’t find anything on it. So I could really use everyone’s input on this! AS ALWAYS, A HUGE THANK YOU for all of your knowledge! AND TIME! Also- I ran out of room for the full obverse & reverse pics, so I’m adding them to the next thread!
Great pictures. I looked at all of them 3 times and compared to Var. Vista, not seeing any matches on ddo-003. Regarding the apparent mint mark ghost…is the coin still in a flip or packaging? We had a similar occurrence recently that the coin had shifted away from contact with the protective film mimicking doubling…this may be the case here as well. That’s all I got for now, but you have a very nice Kennedy proof and you are taking excellent pix…imo…Spark
You never see what I’m seeing. I’m beginning to think we have problems!!! The sooner we can all just agree that I am right and the hundred+ super smart numismatic people are just plain wrong, well........ then my life will just be PURRRRRRRRFDCT!!
I LOVE YOU! LMAO!! But seriously, error or not- thank you very much!! If you look at my earlier posts, like 2 years +, my pics were HORRIBLE!! I’m still learning, but thank you a million times!! Even though I still haven’t found my MILLION DOLLAR coin, you just made my day!!
OOOOOMMMMMGGGGGG! Thank you so much!! You have no idea how much I am completely bragging to my dad right now. He’s a photographer! THANK YOU!!!!!
Not a doubled die...your photos show MDD (Machine Damage Doubling), note the shelf doubling on the right side of the I in IN, and the right side of the O in GOD.
