Hello, I'm newbie here and I have couple of questions about this coin. I looked on my coins and I founded this one with nice error. When I looked on temple if noticed that right corner of the roof have a error and is kind of line along the roof and is going from leg of letter R from AMERICA till middle of letter I from UNITED. The question is what kind of error is this? And if this coin is worth anything....just thinking if it is maybe I can send to grading companies. Thank you.
Hi and welcome to CT. That is a die crack, it happens when the die deteriorates after prolonged usage and is very common on either side of the memorial. There is no added value to something so common and definitely not worth the costs of having graded.
Thank you so much. Yeah that what I thought....after I posted I founded couple of pictures with the same error. I thought maybe I founded something very rare .
A very common area for die cracks. Still it’s nice to find them but you won’t get rich or retire. Welcome to CT.
It's a zincoln. Many anomalies, very few worth while errors. Not to say there are not legitimate errors on them, but few and far between. Welcome to CT, keep searching and posting, we are all here to help one another. Good luck.
Welcome to CT @Maladoisb. I see your question has been answered so hope you add that to your knowledge base. Good luck in the future.
