Here are the only pieces I have, for type coins.

 

There are two non-proof varieties of the 1868 No Rays Shield Nickels.
Both of yours are the 1cD variety.
As nearly as I can tell they are the more common variety.

My humble shield nickel.

 

My only shield nickel is the one below -- the last coin I ever bought from a dear (now-deceased) friend in Kalamazoo. This went into my "US Coins In & Around 1857" group. First nickel cent 1857, first nickel 3c 1865, first nickel 5c 1866, first nickel 10c 1868 (pattern only, never flew). The only 'Nickel' still around is the 5c.

I bought that one raw years ago from a local bid wall in Massachusetts. It was from a bid wall that is no more. It’s now in a an MS-64 holder.
