It is annoying to have to deal with the flippers, who buy several of these sleazy, overpriced mint issues, and then immediately list them on eBay, for a quick buck. They pollute the hobby. No patience fir that.

Understandable, and agreed for what it's worth. However personal references don't help an argument, IMO. And they definitely don't help people come around to your point of view, in my experience.

Calling someone a sucker is not conducive to getting them to understand your point of view... if that's your goal.

edit: Well, unless your view is that someone is a sucker and you want them and everyone else to know it. Then I guess you've delivered your message...

That was the general idea. He has 3 simultaneous threads about buying these mint issues. It is obvious that he is speculating, and using the forum to peddle his flipped goods.

On another thread about these 2021 Morgans, he was complaining about the cost of doing business now, with their policy changes. He’s such an obvious flipper, and that is what is wrong about the whole system. It hurts the hobby, and pure intentions of the joy of collecting.

I believe it is all right to say you don't like the coins, or you think they are too expensive, or you won't buy from the Mint. I can accept those statements. You have you opinion and I have mine. Personally, I like the 2021 Morgans, although I have seen a live one yet. Also, you can spend your money the way you want to, but let me spend my money where I want to. I have the 1921 D and 1921 S and I just wanted to mate them. The same was for the 2021 W American Silver Eagle Type 1 and Type 2. Those purchases were for my pleasure and not yours.
I don't buy my clothes at the same place that you do. Am I wrong for buying them where I want as well as the style and the prices.
I don't want to be offensive as others have chosen to be.

Are you saying you have seen the 2021 Morgan dollar struck by the US Mint? As far I know they weren't being shipped until October. So what did you see and how did your friend get his hands on them?

I think he was talking about the type 2 2021 ASE but I might be wrong.

I thought the same thing but wasn't sure. I was looking for clarification.

‘21s still aren’t original IMO. They’re better than the new ones but still retooled. I love the 1904 and before morgans!

I want one of each of them because I do .
    So far though
4 O privy ( thanks mint site ) somehow it kept adding to my cart and I kept getting booted so I checked out with 4
    1 CC Privy
    2 S
    2 D
I will try for the Peace and the Philly Morgan
I plan to trade the extras for something else of interest or a Peace and a Philly Morgan if I do not get any of those.

I will say I really hated the design of the type 2 proof Eagle when I saw photos. Not because of the change but I did not like the idea of the wing being cut off. Just bothered me. I had one on my enrollment and somehow they billed me twice and sent two . I actually don't mind it so much though. I will trade or sell my extra though but will keep the one which I was planning on selling when it was on its way .

I have seen prototypes that are pre-release. If you read above, I have a friend who is connected with US Mint publicity. The sold releases are scheduled to ship in October. I have also seen the 2021 new ASEs.

Now a prototype would be cool to own.

They were pretty ugly, actually. I hope the actual releases are more attractive, but the prototypes looked just like the pictures.

The only difference I see between the OG Morgans and the new ones is that the old ones are 10% copper and the new ones are .999 fine silver.

I’ll be honest though I wish the Mint wouldn’t have done them in .999 fine silver.

They would’ve looked much better if they had copper like the old ones and would look less like the Morgan Dollar silver bullion rounds that companies have already done for years.

    Either way I picked up 1x CC, 1x O, 3x S and 3x D.

I’m hoping I can trade my extras if I miss out on the Peace Dollar or P Mint Mark.

But if not my LCS has told me they will pay me $125 each if I sell to them so at least I won’t lose any money.

However I might sell one of each here on the forums for $85 + shipping so anyone who missed out can get one without paying through the nose.

My LCS is buying at $125/each and selling at $145 each except for the CC which they told me they will be selling based market value when they are shipped.

It is impossible to reproduce something exactly the same. It’s more than medal continent that’s different, even if it’s not noticeable by the eye.

When mine come I will compare to this one. Be nice to get the P and Peace as well. Not interested in the CC or O as they weren't struck in 1921 and the 2021 mint marks are not real mint marks. DSCN3016~2.JPG DSCN3017~2.JPG

Well I mean they had to reproduce it year after year when it was in circulation.

An 1878 Morgan is different than an 1879 Morgan which is different from an 1880 Morgan etc.,

But what I’m saying is the new pure silver one doesn’t look worse than the original from what I see of it.

Like if you take a look at rounds and counterfeits there is always a certain lack of detail. I’ve noticed it in the feathers in particular.

I think it looks about equal in quality and detail.

Same here. I got 1 of the O and 1 CC just for the complete set.

My uncle got me these for my last birthday and it’ll be interesting to compare them. Not quite as high of grade as yours but good enough for me. xD

PCGS matching grades are real nice! That P in the old holder could go higher than 63...

I think that holder is older than the others. I’m not sure though since my uncle bought them already slabbed.

Sadly that coin doesn’t look very good up close :(. It has weird splotches on it but they’re hard to see in this picture.
