While dredging the bottom of my "What is This?" collection I found this 1874 "H" 25 cent Canadian coin.

I only know as much as I do as I found a similar one on FeeBay for about $10.

It seems to be silver (how much?/purity) Do folks collect them?

And WHAT does the "H" stand for?

    Shortest thread ever.

Guess you turned this into the the Shortest thread ever by anwsering everything all at once. ThanX!

Know anybody that wants it as I'm thinking about turning it into FeeBay fodder. If it is "Special" I just wanted to know and you have already helped a lot, plus I'm looking to get to the bottom of this pile. (Per the wife's instruction)

Hold a CoinTalk CONTEST and use it as a giveaway.

Actually, this started out as an attempt to provide something just like that.

My convoluted mind started with I post a photo~Folks vote on what it is and the winner is the one with the most votes!...or something like that...but they have to pay postage........you can see where this trainwreck ended up:eek:dd:

You could use in change or leave in a tip jar at a cafe or someplace maybe... no shipping costs to deal with then.
