How much does your LCS plan on selling them for?

Idk why the CC one is selling for like $350 and the S is selling for like $130 on Ebay. They all have the exact same mintages. I think people are just used to paying more for CCs.

I wasn’t interested so I didn’t ask. His silver is the lowest price I’ve seen anywhere.

    Ah fair enough.

If he sells them for under $100 that would be a great price.

I tried a number of times but gave up. When checking out it always failed on the verification step. It came back with a bad URL message (10+ times). Add that to the earlier gateway timeouts and other typical BS I decided I'd rather get covered in honey and thrown into a fire ant nest. I wonder if my issues are related to being in a rural area with limited internet bandwidth. I think I'm done with the mint. I'll spend my money on other crap I don't need, like old women, beer and donuts.

Nah it’s not your internet at all.

What is happening is that the Mint doesn’t have enough bandwidth to handle all the traffic so when you try to verify & submit it’s failing and you have to keep trying until it finally goes through.

One analogy I like to use is to think of the Mint website as a straw. With so many people trying to place orders it’s like a fire hose spraying through a straw. Most of the water ends up spraying outside the straw (failed orders) rather than through it (successful orders) and you have to hope that you get lucky enough for your order to be the water that goes into the straw.

I had to submit my order like 20 times before it finally went through.

Quite a few orders hung up on last step but orders were actually going through. Seems some placed multiple orders as a result

I don't think it's really worth it to flip these on Ebay, by the time you pay all the fees you are left with hardly any$$ Ebay makes all the $$ they love it....

    It’s not a demand issue.

Same here. You just have to keep going through the process and eventually an order will go through and you get the confirmation page. Its the same process most everybody had. I think they've shown us that's as good as the website can work for these kinds of sales and we're lucky it lasted 29 minutes.

Ebay has become unusable. They hold your money for 3 days before it's released to you. Have to use a bank account. Can't use paypal. You have to pay income tax over $600 in sales annually on it now. They send you a 1099. And they take a 13% cut for themselves. This is why coin prices are so high on there compared to going to a show in person. You can save hundreds on a single purchase at a show once you take ebay fees out of the equation.

Glad to see that most of you guys got through. I got the O privy mark earlier and wasn’t interested in these. But I will definitely be trying for Peace.

I agree and have abandoned Ebay. The 1099 thing however starts in 2022. Regardless it’s always been an obligation to pay taxes, 1099 or not.

    What??? Recent sales show:

The D & S are selling at the low end for $150. From that, eBay takes ~$13, for a 60% profit margin.

The O is going for $250. From that, eBay takes ~$22, for a 170% profit margin.

The CC is going for $350. From that, eBay takes ~$30, for a 275% profit margin.

I hate how eBay treats sellers as much as everyone else, but:

They hold your money for 3 days before it's released to you. Funds are generally released the next business day.

Have to use a bank account. You may need a bank account linked, but purchases can be done by credit card. When selling, they take fees out of the payment. Other than having it linked so they can send you payouts, it's admittedly a little disconcerting, but meaningless.

Can't use paypal. For what? You can use PayPal to buy anything.

You have to pay income tax over $600 in sales annually on it now. They send you a 1099. You've always had to pay tax on income. The wild west days of the internet when you could run a business online and not pay taxes on the profit because no one knew are long gone. Don't blame eBay for this. The states wanted their sales and income tax and the feds wanted their income tax.

And they take a 13% cut for themselves. It's only 13% if you don't have an eBay store. It's 8.5% if you do. Have you ever checked out what other online venues charge to sell? Frequently 15%+.

This is why coin prices are so high on there compared to going to a show in person. You can save hundreds on a single purchase at a show once you take ebay fees out of the equation. eBay prices have the eBay fees baked into them. Show prices have the show fees baked into them. At major shows, those dealer tables can cost a couple thousand dollars and you can be required to stay a minimum number of nights in a certain hotel. And then their is the airfare and employee costs.
