Didn't see a thread on these. Anybody try out the "revamped" mint website? I was logged in and refreshed at 11 a.m. Had no problem adding all six to bag. Entered in the pre-filled info and got to the end. Same hang ups as last time. The confirm order wouldn't go through. Tried about 7 times and finally got a confirmation page to pop up after a lot of error messages. At 12:25 they were still available for pre-order. Household order limit of 3 must have done the trick. 12:29: theyre gone!!!
Ugggh. Bye! More US Mint junk. If you want a real Morgan Dollar, buy a MS 63, 1921 Morgan for about the same price.
I quit collecting US Mint commemoratives about 3 years ago. I consider these to be commemoratives, therefore, I will not collect them.
Nope, last thing I ordered from the mint was the GW Commem in about 1982. That was a stinker, and nothing since. Wait 6 months and they'll sell for a little over melt.
I'm going to wait and try for the last Morgan (P) and a Peace on the 10th. Can't afford them all...and overpriced...but that's OK as I just want one of each. I did get a T-2 ASE proof a couple of weeks ago...just arrived yesterday and looks good, save for the different box (just a box, not a case in a box like the T-1 came in). Did hear of some provision in the act that approved these, that allows for more in future years...not sure that will happen but assume they would be dated accordingly...2022, 2023, whatever.
Whatever you want to call it. It's the same mints that made the 1921 version. Some people just can't enjoy a good anniversary.
If it was well done, I would enjoy it. If it is another US Mint sucker buy, then all I can do is laugh my head off.
