Rather than purchase the new territory quarters, I enjoy getting some in my change. I have got several of each except for 2: US Virgin Islands and American Samoa. I wonder why these are so difficult to get. I guess the mintage is far less than the state quarters. I used to have a local coin dealer and he did good business but he was forced to close shop due to failing eyesight. I won't use mail order as it means a long haul to the post office to pick-up the coins so I will just have to wait and hope to get these quarters. Anybody else having trouble finding the new quarters?
I have gotten multiple examples of all but the most recent issue (Mariana Islands) from my local laundrymat (probably spelled wrong). Not having a washer/dryer at home in this case helps me All Philadelphia mint issues as well. I doubt I'll see Denver mint issues until late this year at best. Never know though, as I go through a ton of quarters.
I have found rolls of; DC, Puerto Rico, and Virgin Islands. and a few examples of Samoa and Guam but no Mariana Islands yet. All Denver. Check the Open forum as myself and others will trade to get coins from the other mints.
I'm starting to find these quarters on a regular basis. Arn't many collectors in my area, so people are spending whatever they have...
Exactly the opposite here. I have gotten 1 American Samoa quarter in change (yesterday, as a matter of fact).
