This is about what they are going for across ebay it seems. Doesn't look too bad to me although I don't plan to get one.

We need to wait and get one signed by the Director of the mint in the 200,000 first production batch. It will probably sell for $160. But, just think, will it eventually be worth $500+ or back at $40?

    .

They look to me like bullion coins. Therein I believe, is the price justification.

If you get one of those immediately send it out to get graded.

It's a little on the higher side actually. I am seeing the BU ones go for $37-38 each.

If I had to guess, he's referring to the designer's initials and whatnot.

That's what I was thinking. He needs to look closer.

The bullion BU version and the Proof (mirror finish fields) version are two different things. The BUs are just made to demand. The proofs require additional work and handling and will have a mintage limit. More expensive to make.

they are BU, not the proof. you can buy them for Bullion dealers for $35-$37 each, and it's Pinehurst, whos another bullion dealer but I don't know if they are mint direct or buying from a mint authorized dealer in bulk. Whatever, Melt is like $25.50, and a couple bucks for the mint, and a couple bucks for the dealer in the middle if there is one, and they make probably $5 off each coin after fees and free shipping. the business model is volume, and they are just a couple bucks higher than the others for the convenience of Ebay and Paypal and the yada yada.

They sold 7000 of them so far, that's 14 monster boxes, so I'd think they must be one of them mint authorized bullion dealers or a step away from one. they must be making the $5.00 each at least I'd think and pulled down $35K doing it so far. yeah the shipping is free, but you're paying for it. same with the ebay and paypal fees, but I don't think they are making the kind of profit that JM bullion or the others are that are cheaper on the coin itself. Like JM for instance is $36, $38 for CC or PP, but $7.99 shipping if the order is under $199.00
For a single coin....probably Pinehurst is the better deal.

The prices on these are unjustifiably high. Spot right now is $25.63, so the distributors are paying $28.13. in the past they sell them to a dealer at about a $2 mark up and the dealer would sell to the customer at another $2 markup. So a reasonable price should be around $32.13
