recently purchased coin from numismaticbureau before i did my homework on the seller. is there any way for me to tell if it is fake or do i just have to send it in to be certified. i havn't received it yet, i just want to know everyone's opinion so i might get refund if i have to. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=370315066119&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT
yeah, that was how i found this forum. i found an old post about inb. lol surprised they still can sell items like that.
Don't feel bad.. This forum will save you $$$ Just listen to the Pro's.. And like I said .. Don't feel bad.. I own a INB.. Halve.. Just like yours..
Here is the link - http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...66119&_sacat=See-All-Categories&_fvi=1&_rdc=1 I would be reasonably sure it is not fake and also pretty sure it is not PR70. Send it to be certified? You paid $11.50. It will cost you something like $30 to get it certified. Why?!?!? I do not know just what it is worth, but you probably did not get too bad a deal on it. Although, it is probably not very salable.
The combination of "Highest Grade" in the listing, plus a picture showing a "PR70" is at least an evasion, and probably a violation, of EBay's rules regarding TPG grades. Just one more reason to check, and rely on, Toolhaus.
You can get a refund from Ebay.. Policy is that it has to be one of the Ebay Recognized Grading Companies.. I don't think INB is on the list.. but would check.. Still if Silver.. you are still not so bad on the deal.. The one I have ( Won in a Lot of Items.) says PR70 and is at most a PR68 .. AT MOST... I had Ebay pull an Auction on me when they first changed the Policy.. I was selling some crummy slab I had.. I think It may have been INB and in the title said Graded PR69.. I was told I could rerun the Auction Just couldn't call it "Graded"
Nothin beats INB.. They in my opinion are one of the top tier grading companies out there.. NOT Great coin though.. Def. not a fake. Looks real to me.
