Nice. You might want to go to your local laundromat and get $20 worth of quarters and then search them. Just saying . . . that's where I found mine.
The laundromat guy gets suspicious when I spend the entire morning there without washing anything.....
Nobody likes laundromats! However, it might be worth it just to run in, buy the quarters and run out....you just have to pretend like you have laundry to do!
My washing machine flooded my utility room today, and I feared I was going to have to go to a laundromat. I managed to pull the dryer out far enough to see behind the washing machine, found that the drain hose had somehow come out of the drain tube, managed to reach it and stuff it back in. Voila! No visit to the laundromat. The laundromats I've gone to have all been ridiculously hot, and the heat index here at the moment is 106! My wife thinks I'm crazy to walk the dog in this heat. I tell her it doesn't feel so bad once you get out in it, and the dog doesn't seem to mind.
WOW! This site is amazing! From a "W" mint mark, to the laundromat, to the car wash, to hot temperatures, to skin melting! This place is so entertaining!!!
That happened to me once and I lived in an apartment at the time so the washer and dryer hookups were in the kitchen. When that hose came loose, it was like a miniature tsunami, travelling through the kitchen...you could almost imagine a tiny white-capped wave on the leading edge of it, if you weren't freaking out and running for towels!
I wasn't complaining folks!! Just amazed how a topic can change so quick!!! Actually thought it was humorous!! Mike, not sure how I can be so lucky, and good looking tooo!!!!! LOL LOL
I used a sponge mop and towels. Stupidly, I put the wet towels into the washing machine and hit Spin & Dry. All the water the cycle took out of the towels came back into the room, of course.
WOW ... such dislike for laundromats. I used to like and use the laundromats by my house for/as a grocery-store type of place for dates. I have gotten very lucky picking up ladies doing laundry. That was of course a long time ago ... 31+ years ... since before I got married. I met my wife when I was an Investment Executive making cold-calls for PaineWebber. ... But that’s for another thread.
I hate to admit this but that sounds like something I'd do - LOL! Thanks for sharing your comments...they gave me a smile!
back when i lived in seattle there was a laundromat called "sit and spin" it was a bar, and laundromat, they had board games to play and books and also coffee, a great place for meeting single females,,,it was cool, on the ceiling they had every type of board game "board" nailed in...and was only 5 blocks from where i lived on 8th and seneca at the jensonian hotel...which burned down, last time i was there in 99 went to see the old place and was shocked to see a pile of rubble..my room there on the 4th floor was right across the street from the on ramp for the highway, and there was a park all made of cement too, and right next to the convention center and major bus terminal...i miss the PNW.
