Well, I'm only 17 years old so don't laugh at me if this is real common Well I have this weird $1 bill, and the back of it is perfect, but the front got stamped wrong so like, the top white stripe is twice as big as it should be, and there is no bottom white stripe. Any info on this would be appreciated
Gxseries is right. A scan would be best. If you can't do that, a very specific description would be the next best thing. Is any of the front of the note missing, or what is the width of the unprinted band at the top, compared to the bottom, as well as the same info for the back of the note? The more you can provide, the more likely someone here can help you.
unless it's extreme, it sounds like a victim of low centering. in u.s. notes, low centering usually takes away from value as perfect margins are required for "gem" grades. low centered $5: http://www.donckelly.com/sm_type/f1526a.html
