How do you know it is sterling silver?

Good point. The first one I bought was edge marked and nicely toned. I will have to wait until this one arrives to know for sure.

I figured they were all silver but further research, post purchase, revealed that some are nickel.

For $1.99 plus $3.00 shipping, it wasn't a big risk.

I have found it to be pretty difficult to find good pieces lately for under 50$.
Gradeflation and Inflation have taken hold.
This is not a good long term look.
I picked this one up for $30.
These high relief medals are fun. .9999 silver,

I like tiny old silver coins:

(Oh, and both the 1876 Seated Dimes in the second row are CC mints...)

It's a creation of Royal Oak Mint, Mike Bozynski. He had some "NOS" laying around (new OLD stock) that I was fortunate enough to capture.

I picked this up a while ago, not sure if he is still around and in business. I just re-found it again recently.
