PPQ And EPQ What Does This Mean? Many people ask me this! As a matter of fact i was just asked this Question 10 minutes ago! So i though i would try and give a adequate Answer! First off PPQ and EPQ are given by PCGS and PMG grading services to Describe paper quality and is a nice addition to the original grade Though some dont care for the additional comments, I do, I think Its a way of describing the note one step further which is always A plus. PCGS- PPQ (Premium Paper Quality) PMG- EPQ ( Exceptional Paper Quality) Both TPG,s use different ways to describe the same thing! now heres What it actually means, The designation after the original grade Is a indication of the over all paper quality if its of a good crispness It will receive the PPQ or EPQ if not it will only receive the actual grade With out the additional paper quality grade, I have an example here To share, I have both a Series 521 $10 IN PCGS 35PPQ and a 45 With out the paper quality designation, Which is better?? Of course The 45 is a superior quality note but according to PCGS the 35PPQ Is a crisper note and the overall paper quality is better you decide?
