Value of German coin

    Can anyone help identify value or suggest how to determine value of this coin? I live in MA between Boston and Providence RI.

    This seems to be a medal, I think. I have no idea as to a value.

    Yes, appears to be a shooting medal. Good work, @thomas mozzillo. The main question in my mind is whether it is struck in base metal or gold, or merely gilt (gold plated). I can’t really tell from the color. If gold, it will have bullion value, obviously, depending on the weight.

    Hi Everyone,
    Thank you for your comments. They make sense that this is a medal. My grandfather was a hunter and marksman. He won many awards and trophies for his shooting. I guess the value of this is in the gold- assuming its gold. Thank you all.
