Direct Ship Mint Rolls

I have read that some have received direct ship Presidential rolls from the Mint having coins minted in either the Philly or Denver Mints.
My dilemma is this: I have purchased several rolls but do not wish to open them. However, I would like to know which mint they came from. I understand that the outside lettering paper is identical for both types of Mints under Direct Ship.
Can anyone shed some light on this? Is there a way to find out the Mint without breaking the roll open? Thanks!

In fact a poster on a different site said she received different mintmarks in the SAME box.

 

The mint is now offering 2001 and 2010 Sacagewea Golden Dollars in the Direct Ship program. They're supposed to be available on 1/13/2010

 

I ordered 2 2001 boxes for myself. I will get the 2010's next month. The 2010's have a beautiful design in the reverse side.

 

......myself, i really prefer the reverse offered on the 2001 small buck. it is graced

with a very fine soaring eagle! in fact, they were to be the last regular circulating

sac dollar. the years after were only available through the mint. i'm sorry the design

wasn't kept.

That is most certainly a beautiful design.

Have you seen the Kennedy half dollar reverse design? I am thinking that is the best design amongst all coins currently being minted. What do you think?

 

That particular reverse was modeled after the Presidential Seal.

Its original design was very nice but its subsequent redesigns in low relief are a crying shame.

As for the OP, there's no way to tell other than opening the roll however, these are very easily rerolled.

 

I opened the very top of my Zachary Taylor roll the other day and saw that it was a P-mint. I didn't unroll the entire thing but would love to be able to re-roll it.
Could you tell me how to do it?

 

.....i'm thinking you'll need a special rolling machine apparatus to roll them tight like

the ones you get from the mint or banks. in my opinion. BUT you can just ask the

tellers at the bank for the correct paper flat rolls that would allow you to re-wrap

what you want for turning back into the bank or you can get the plastic tubes for

storing them in your collection. hth
