Here's the problem the moment it came out with the new books and they went and bought them all up and Jack the price dramatically

I'd love that book but idk who else sells it other than Amazon. No way for $270 anyways. Didn't see it on the Whitman website either.

This comes up pretty regularly. they have been out of print for a while now and sold out. believe it or not, the coin hunting craze that's been all over the internet and youtube made those particular books in high demand and short supply especially the newest versions, and I think it caught Whitman off guard also and they didn't anticipate the rise in demand. there's cheap kindle versions for download of course as an option.

A couple of weeks ago I needed a CPG, Volume 2 to check on just one coin and found out how much the paper copies were going for. But the Kindle version of the 2012 edition was only $15 so I downloaded it and the free reader for my Windows 10 laptop.

From the time I clicked on "Buy it" to the time I was reading the book was about five minutes including the time to download the reader software and totally without any problems.

While I prefer paper books for my reference materials, no way was I going to spend that much money on a reference that was only going to be used very rarely.

The release date for a new edition has come and gone. I think it was supposed to release in December or March, maybe both? I think I remember JT Stanton gave an update on the PCGS Forum at some point that the pandemic had made it extremely difficult for him to get together with Bill Fivaz to finalize things. However, he said it was almost finished and should definitely release. So, spending those prices on the soon to be obsolete edition is a probably a bad idea.

My friend JT Stanton passed away some time last year. Great guy, purchased lots from him.

Books are relatively inexpensive, but mistakes made from not having a reference can be quite costly.

I just spent £80 on some books from the UK. And the shipping is another £30.

At least you can earn points, if you’re crazy enough to buy it at that price.
