Hello everyone, Welcome to my 37,000th post celebration thread. I don't know if anyone has noticed but I really haven't posted any new Mint Errors lately. I have so many I don't have the need for any more. And I'm more into Metal Detecting than ever! But if I see something cheap and simple I will acquire it. 1 Cent - 1956 D Mint Lamination Planchet Error (De-laminated) I do have a few neat Mint Errors in the raw I want to submit to NGC if the NYINC comes early next year! Last one was cancelled
Huh, nice! So you submitted some of your lamination errors for TPG slabs, eh? I didn't realize they would be worth doing that... maybe I should look at submitting some of mine. Is NGC your preferred grader?
Looks like it took a hit! The coin is toned but the lamination area hasn’t. Nice looking error Paddy! Congratulations on 37,000 posts.
Yes. I have submitted many neat Mint Errors over the years. My best Lamination was this.. Before After
Hah, holy moly. Now THAT'S a lamination! Thanks, I'll look into an NGC membership. Let me know if they have a reference option and I'll put you down. Maybe you'll build up to a free slab or something if so.
Let the MD recharge and DAZZLE us with some of your errors. Even previously posted errors would be fun to see again.
Sure! Some of my last submitted errors.. Eye Candy Can anybody guess why the first 4 (490912) have a different number from the last slab? (490913)
Ok, so from looking up brockage, I'm very confused. That seems like a very large cud on that penny. Wikipedia's description of brockage doesn't seem to fit what I'm seeing. Or at least what I think I'm seeing
…and they misspelled “multi” too. I guess their proofreader was absent. @paddyman98 great errors! Thanks for sharing!…Spark
You guys are funny When I did the submission at the NGC table the first coin was a US Mint Error. The other 4 were foreign coin errors. I had to fill out 2 different forms
I don't think I have ever seen a label with two mistakes in the text before. Should send it back and have an error error label on it as well
Ed, I don't know whether to congratulate you on 37,000 posts, or tell you that you have too much time on your hands. LOL Nice errors and good luck, as always, on detecting.
