    Thanks.
But i'm still not sure if i'm seeing it. I assume you are speaking of the areas that are more of a grayish color as compared to the rest of the coin's surface.?.. Kind of like the luster has been rubbed away, but not enough to damage the coin's surface? Is that about right?

I think it might be a VAM 10. But, even if it were the scarcer VAM 6 at MS-63 it wouldn't be worth the cost to resubmit it.

I would do nothing but enjoy it as is. Nice coin.

That's it. That's what wear is - the luster being rubbed away. And wear shows up as those gray areas.

Now somebody is going to say that a weak strikes shows up that way too. And it does. But a weak strike has a different look, a different shade of gray than wear. And there are a great many coins that reside in MS holders that are really AU.

I believe this is one of them.

I can't grade very well from images. Could go anywhere from AU58 to MS64. I do see what looks like rub on, above, and below the ear. I would not re-submit for grading.
Unfortunately VAM 10 is pretty common. Not sure if it's sold for any premium lately. However, I still like the variety and pick them up from time to time.
