How do you know that the Miller # is correct ? There are a large number of different Obverse and Reverses .

There is a chart somewhere. It's a 90.00 entry level pc. Guess I just rely on the seller until I jump into a R1 F or VF.

I just don't want someone like you take a non-experts advice . There are some people that don't even go Miller Numbers when selling these precious pieces of history . I live in Connecticut and own and own one myself that I dug while Metal detecting .

I get it. I appreciate it as well. I'm not very educated on them. Just know I like them. I've been eye balling that example for a while now. Actually made an offer while back. He countered, and I just didn't feel like pulling the trigger. I didn't buy it for any other reason than I like the coin.

As far as Maris or Miller.... or whatever you mean by your attribution statement... I really have no reason to trust or distrust the seller. 2nd low end pc I have purchased from him. He has actually exhibited more professionalism than most sellers I've dealt with. Seems very tentitive. That goes a long way with me. Pretty sure he only sells colonials as well. Has over 100 listed I think.

If you would like to expand on your statement I am all ears. I will likely learn something.

Congrats on your new Connecticut! The attribution appears to be correct. There is a new book on Connecticut coppers just out by Randall P. Clark, a bit pricy but worth every penny.

Yep that is pricy alright, but most of the books published by C4 are pricy. But usually worth it.

On the other hand for a 700 page book I guess the price isn't that bad.

Another book for my want list.

150.00 book. Probably great if you collect high end examples. Probably just great to have around period.

That's why I want it, just to have for reference. I don't collect colonials but I have many of the standard references, and frankly Miller has needed a good updating for a long time. I have a LOT of books on series that I don't collect. You can never have too much information.
