Sadly, no such thing exists. There are full sheets, and there are star sheets, but there are no full star sheets.
I have a 2 by 8 (16 count) uncut sheet of 1976 $2 bills with star. Local shop said its only worth face value ($32). Is that correct?
Most LCSs may not know the value or maybe they’re low-balling you. Depending on the district and condition, the minimum value would be double face. And it could go up from there. Can you post a photo ?
Sadly, someone has folded the sheet. Serious collectors are not going to want a folded sheet. It’s funny you didn’t mention that in your original post @Eagle07. Condition is a huge factor when evaluating modern US paper money.
I wouldn't say it's that funny. Condition isn't that bad and the fold will flatten out after I frame it. Will most likely just keep it.
Still worth over face, I can't see the photo. But a fold does hurt the value. And if you restore the fold incorrectly, you could make it worse. If he bought them from you at face value, he's going to sell them for more than that. (Small profit.) So that means they are worth more than face, unless he didn't even want them, then there's no market and he is breaking even.
Buying such an item from an antique dealer warrants caution on your behalf. I know, I’m an antique dealer as well as a collector. Most dealers don’t have a clue about money for collecting.
