Yup but in that very pic you prove what I said above... all but 3 are obviously blackthorn and the 2 stripped of bark are likely to be BT as well. The last, the one on the end with a smooth shaft appears to be a polypropaline copy.. but still a shillelagh... So I suppose my walnut thumpin stick qualifies if that plastic crap does lol...
Not quite as nice as I hoped but it will work.. a fair amount heavier then my blackthorn was not enough to be a bother carrying it but more then enough to crack a skull lol... Hate to say it but I despise sellers that use "stock photos" for unique items like this... Not quite what I wanted/was hoping for, but it will work lol...
I really like your old shillelagh, that's an absolute shame that someone took it (and before you had a chance to exercise its alternate purpose on their skull!) Can't explain why, but recently got an itch to have a nice blackthorn stick like that someday. Maybe it's in the Irish part of my blood! I don't have any regular need for a walking stick in my life, but I would certainly enjoy taking it with me in the woods.
