Smooth Quarter?

    I found this 2000 Virginia quarter and it is almost completely smooth. The copper edge is smooth, although it is still copper. The front and back images are just barely raised. I don't know much about coins, could anyway tell me if there is anything to this coin? Thank you so much in advance ^-^

    a pocket piece is a coin that someone carries in their pocket. mine is a 1921 silver dollar.
