How did everyone do? Unfortunately, I was the underbidder on my main target, a coin that I was highly psyched about (and that would have used up my entire auction budget). I feel that I gave it a good fight, though. But at least that loss freed me to win two other coins (that I had in my watch list as “backups” just for this very situation of losing out on my target coin).

Yep - similar here. My main targets ended up going very high so I bailed.
Did grab a coin from the Pick Bin and a small Byzantine lot.
Was interesting watching some heated bidding at times..

Well, that was wildly successful from my perspective, but I fear it may not have been as successful for my CT friends who were bidding, as the competition was way fiercer this time around! :hurting:

I'm glad to hear you won some backups, @ValiantKnight and @Clavdivs, but I hope some others managed to snag their main targets!

Y'all might be interested in a behind-the-scenes look at the auction stats:

With the strong pre-bidding I figured the live auction would be a bit less lively than last time, but not at all! If anything it was more lively.

Congrats to @Severus Alexander for a great auction today…he did such an amazing job of putting everything together!

I had a lot of fun watching this one today…I had 28 coins consigned to the auction, and 27 of them sold, some great hammer prices. I really hope some of my coins stayed in the CT family! I’m excited to see how everyone did today.

I only managed to snag 1 coin this time BUT it was from a CT friend’s collection: the @Shea19 Collection.

There was some strong bidding on my targets which is a good thing for both @Severus Alexander as well as his consignors. Congratulations SA! It was a fun event and I will miss it.

I placed pre bids on 6 coins, but was the winner for only one of those. And, to be honest, it was my last choice of the six. I didn't really think I would win any, so I am happy enough. Thanks @Severus Alexander for taking the trouble and runni9ng this auction.

Yeah pleasure to take part! Thanks to @Severus Alexander for running it again, seems to get better each time around! Great selection of pieces, there were many on my want list and ended up getting a couple plus 2 impulse buys. Did end up getting the one I really wanted, apologies to the second place bidder as I paid way over my budget…

Thanks to @Severus Alexander for the wonderful and exciting auction!

I consigned nine coins, all of which sold. I‘m very happy with the results. Lots 9, 90, 285, 408, 427, 495, 512, 657, and 662 were from my collection, and I would love to know if some of them went to fellow CTers.

On the other hand, I bought eight coins, which I will post once they have arrived. Many of them were previously owned by other CT members. The bovine stater consigned by @ChrisB, a Carisius denarius and a Volusian ant from @Shea19 and a Valerian II ant from @Severus Alexander ’s personal collection went to me.

I can’t wait to have these coins in hand and hope everyone else did well, too!

Congrats, @Severus Alexander ... very nice job, and great auction.

My Target was spirited, but won. I would love to know who I was bidding against.

Congratulations on a great auction @Severus Alexander. I won 2 out of my 5 targets: Lot 172 and lot 286 (from the Severus Alexander collection :)).

Also all my consigned coins were sold, and some with some surprising hammer prices. It seems like it was very successful. :D I did have my eye on lot 375 but was outbid.

Pavlos You pick out the big men. I'll make them brave!

Great auction @Severus Alexander! Thank you very much.
Unfortunately I lost 2 of my targets, but I won 3 coins on the end! A coin from @TheRed, a coin from @Chris B and a coin from the man himself @Severus Alexander. Glad I can now continue to take care of the coins that were once in possesion of these CT fellows.

Thanks for organizing this great event, @Severus Alexander. I really enjoyed watching the auction as much as I could (during dinner time, with the kids, which is sort of impossible :)). I also enjoyed seeing all my consignments get sold, and I'm very pleased with the results. I cant wait for members to show their winst, I'm really curious if a CT-member won one of my coins!

Thanks! Been looking a while for one of these large Constantinople mint Justinian folles that still has good facial details and wasn’t going to break the bank.

I actually have a couple, but did want one from the year of the start of the pandemic; their '2020' per se. Needless to say, you did well with that win! :D

I'm still in disbelief over my win! I hope nobody on the sidewalk below heard my exuberant 'YES!' when I won. lol

Huge thanks to @Severus Alexander, all of the consigners, bidders and spectators! This was phenomenal!
