    You could probably by dinner with that back in 24…Actually worth 13.80 in today’s dollars. Would buy 2 loaves of bread 1 gal milk, 6 eggs, pound of butter.

    The silver worth may be $13.80 but bet the retail value could still buy a modest, non-alcoholic dinner for two today...bon appetit...!

    I can't speak to the accuracy of this site, I've referred to it before, but "Inflation Calculator" claims that $1 in 1924 has the spending power of $15.89 today. The silver value of a 1924 Peace today appears to be $19.50 (using $25.21 as the ounce price), based on the Coinflation site.

    Just look at those fields on the obverse! My goodness that is a clean looking coin! Eagle's feathers and shoulder are weak, but that can be expected with the strike quality of the series and in no way distracts from this beautiful coin. Nice addition to your set!
